Nathan and Carrie return for a final round as they tackle two extreme opposites on the anime scales – Berserk and Amanchu! The Toast Hosts also look at some gross Nendoroids and some great movies!
Attempting to infiltrate the tower where Casca is being held, Guts has finally made his way to its exterior with Luca and the rest in an attempt to rescue her. Falling behind, Guts only has a split second to decide what to prioritize, and how to proceed. Will he finally be reunited with his one time partner, or will she elude his grasp once again?
Tight on the trail, Guts has followed Casca to Albion in pursuit, trying to protect her. Can Guts manage to catch up in time and save her from the incoming destruction that awaits them in the dark, or will the Struggler stumble in his own ambition?
With Casca’s fate in question, Guts can only press on with his quest to find her and save her from the demons that chase them both for their brands. After successfully escaping the Holy knights that had imprisoned him, Guts steals their leader away and flees towards his original objective nearby. Pursued by one of the underlings, what will happen when Guts reaches the gates? And why is the girl so important?
Now that Guts has been properly introduced to us in his new garb with his new Dragon’s Tooth massive zweihander, he finds himself confronted by a certain sect of knights that seem intent on his capture. What ends do they meet by securing him, and will he go down quietly? The answer should be fairly obvious for both.
And so, moving on from discussing a show primarily revolving around high school teenagers attempting to figure out if they can bother to feel feelings anymore, now we move onto a show centered around grotesque physical, sexual, and mental violence with heavy dashes of moral ambiguity. With a prequel movie trilogy under its belt, Studio 4C has moved on to the first full story arc- the Black Swordsman arc. Will the anime hold up to the quality of the movie trilogy, or does it falter right out of the gate? Warning: Berserk is loaded with graphic violent content, do not watch or read if you are easily queasy.
